The Cypriot Football Cup was the first official competition established in 1934, prior to the league. The first final took place on November 25, 1934, at GSP Stadium, where Trust defeated APOEL 1-0 in a replay after an initial 0-0 draw on November 18. Historically, APOEL holds the record for the most titles with 21 wins in 33 appearances, followed by Omonia with 16 titles in 24 finals. Notable individual records include Ioncho Arsov, who won four titles as a coach, and Andreas Mouskallis, who achieved three victories with three different clubs. Makis Papaioannou remains the only player to score in consecutive finals for different teams while winning both titles.
