DIPA announces party future following election results

The Political Bureau of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA) met to analyze the election results of May 24, which left the party outside of Parliament. Members engaged in a self-critical assessment, acknowledging that the outcome was negative and failed to meet the party's goals. The leadership accepted collective responsibility for this result. A process of consultation will now move to the provincial level, allowing candidates, members, and supporters to provide their input. This process will culminate in early July with an expanded Pan-Cyprian Conference to finalize the evaluation and determine the party's future strategy. Despite the loss, the Political Bureau unanimously reaffirmed that DIPA will continue to play an active role in the country's political affairs.
