Goalkeeper Neofytos Michail departs Pafos FC for Universitatea Cluj

Cypriot goalkeeper Neofytos Michail has officially joined the Romanian club FC Universitatea Cluj following the expiration of his contract with Pafos FC. The 32-year-old athlete spent two successful seasons at the Cypriot club, contributing to historic achievements including the team's first national championship, the 2025/26 Cyprus Cup, and participation in the UEFA Champions League. Michail confirmed his departure with a farewell message to the fans immediately following the Cyprus Cup celebrations on May 29, 2026. Over his two-year tenure, he made more than 40 official appearances for the club. This marks his second professional stint abroad, having previously played in Greece for PAS Giannina and Asteras Tripolis. The move was officially announced by the Romanian side shortly after the cup final.
