The arts organization Pylon Art & Culture has announced the return of the event titled The Trilogy of Vacationing. The exhibition is scheduled to take place at the Minerva Hotel in Platres on June 6 and June 7, with operating hours from 11:00 to 18:00. The event highlights local cultural history, specifically the origins of the Brandy Sour cocktail. Historical lore suggests that this drink was served to King Farouk at the Minerva Hotel, disguised as iced tea, which subsequently popularized it across the island. The organizers incorporate literary excerpts in their promotional materials, including reflections on the natural phenomenon of phototaxis observed in insects and personal correspondence dating from 2014 and 2026.
