38-year-old charged with murder of 67-year-old in Thessaloniki
A 38-year-old man was charged with intentional homicide and drug-related offenses following the death of his 67-year-old former father-in-law in Evosmos, Thessaloniki. The incident occurred on Friday night in an apartment, after which the victim was rushed to the Hippokratio Hospital with severe head injuries. The 67-year-old died from his injuries on Saturday morning. The accused denies murder, claiming the victim fell and injured his head while they were using drugs together. Conversely, some reports indicate that the victim was struck multiple times during a dispute over personal differences. Both the suspect and the victim were known to authorities for prior involvement in drug-related cases. The investigation is being conducted by the Kordelio-Evosmos Security Department. The suspect has been referred to the 3rd Regular Investigator of Thessaloniki to prepare his defense.
