Authorities solve 2022 murder of a Pakistani man in Thessaloniki
Police in Thessaloniki have solved the 2022 murder of a 24-year-old Pakistani national. The investigation revealed that the victim was killed by his 37-year-old employer due to a romantic dispute involving the employer's wife. The incident began on June 13, 2022, when the victim disappeared after being abducted from the Thessaloniki railway station. His dismembered body, missing its head and lower limbs, was discovered in a sack weighted with bricks in the sea at Kalochori-Chalastra by a fisherman on June 19 and June 22, 2022. Authorities identified the 37-year-old perpetrator and three other accomplices, who are believed to have fled abroad shortly after the crime. The main suspect is currently facing legal proceedings and is scheduled to testify before an investigator next week. The investigation was conducted by the Crimes Against Life department in collaboration with the Forensic Investigations Subdivision of Northern Greece.
