Cyprus Football Association announces 2026/2027 licensing results

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has completed the UEFA 2026/2027 licensing process for A-division and women's football clubs. Fourteen A-division teams were successfully licensed, including AEK Larnaca, AEL Limassol, Anorthosis Famagusta, APOEL Nicosia, Apollon Limassol, Aris Limassol, Freedom 24 ENY, Olympiakos Nicosia, Omonia Nicosia, Omonia Aradippou, Pafos FC, Karmiotissa, Omonia 29th May, and Nea Salamis Famagusta. Additionally, Ethnikos Achnas, Akritas Chlorakas, and Enosis Neon Paralimniou successfully met financial criteria for the 2026/2027 B-division championship. Four women’s teams—Apollon Ladies, Lakatamia FC, Omonia Nicosia, and Olympiakos Nicosia—also secured licenses. The women's team of Aris Limassol failed to meet specific athletic criteria and was denied licensure. Consequently, Aris Limassol faces a one-point deduction in the 2026/2027 women's championship and is barred from participating in UEFA women's competitions for the season.
