President Christodoulides to conduct first official visit to Kazakhstan

On June 3, 2026, President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides will conduct the first official visit by a Cypriot President to Kazakhstan. The delegation, including cabinet members and business representatives, will arrive on June 2 via the first direct flight between the two nations. President Christodoulides is scheduled to meet with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for private and expanded bilateral talks. During the visit, President Tokayev will bestow the Order of Friendship upon the Cypriot President. Key objectives include inaugurating the new Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Astana and addressing the Cyprus-Kazakhstan Business Forum. The two nations will sign multiple Memoranda of Understanding covering higher education, research, culture, sports, IT, cybersecurity, and e-governance. Additionally, an agreement will be signed between the Chambers of Commerce of both countries. The visit will conclude with joint media statements.
