Archbishop Elpidophoros of America hospitalized in Thessaloniki following health incident

On Sunday morning, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America experienced a health incident while attending a service at the Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Aretsou, Kalamaria. Local reports differ slightly on the nature of the event, with one source describing it as a fainting episode and another as general malaise. Emergency medical services (EKAB) transported the Archbishop to the 424 General Military Hospital of Thessaloniki, escorted by police. Upon arrival, he underwent a series of medical tests, including a CT scan. Medical personnel confirmed that all test results were clear and showed no cause for concern. Following the evaluation, the Archbishop was discharged from the hospital. He has since returned to his hotel in Thessaloniki to rest. No further complications were reported regarding his scheduled activities.
