Father and son die in motorcycle accident in Patras

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred near the Dimitrios Tofalos indoor stadium at the exit of Patras, Greece. A 46-year-old man and his 20-year-old son were riding a high-displacement motorcycle when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a protective railing. The crash occurred under the bridge of the perimeter road leading to Rio. The 20-year-old victim died at the scene, while the 46-year-old was transported to the University Hospital of Patras in Rio, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. Both victims were reportedly wearing protective helmets at the time of the incident. Emergency services temporarily closed the road to traffic to conduct rescue operations. Authorities are currently investigating the unknown cause of the crash.
