Uruguay announces squad for 2026 World Cup

Veteran goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, 39, has also been included in the squad, marking the fifth World Cup appearance of his career. Despite a season hampered by injuries, Pellistri remains a key part of the selection. The team includes prominent players such as Federico Valverde, Darwin Nunez, and Ronald Araujo. Uruguay is scheduled to play its first group stage match against Saudi Arabia in Miami on June 15.
