Reports of criminal incidents in Paphos

Two separate criminal incidents were reported in the Paphos district. In the first incident on the morning of Saturday, a 58-year-old woman was attacked by two well-dressed young individuals on a main road. The victim was pushed to the ground, and her handbag was stolen. She was treated at the hospital for facial abrasions, and the empty bag was later recovered. In a second, unrelated case, police arrested two 22-year-old individuals on judicial warrants for a severe assault. This incident took place in the early hours of May 31, 2026, at a business premises. A 46-year-old man was hospitalized with head injuries following this attack. Investigations for both cases are currently ongoing by local authorities.
