Fatal attacks reported in Kherson, Nikopol and Chernihiv regions

On Friday, a six-year-old boy was killed and 11 people were injured in the Russian-controlled city of Henichesk, Kherson region, following a reported Ukrainian drone strike on a residential building. Simultaneously, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lysak, reported that a woman was killed and five others were injured in a Russian attack on Nikopol. Separately, state power officials in northern Ukraine announced that a Russian strike left approximately 40,000 residents in the Chernihiv region without electricity. Amid these ongoing hostilities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in a CBS interview that peace negotiations must continue to reach an agreement before the start of winter. Reports indicate that diplomatic efforts led by the United States have stalled as focus has shifted toward developments in the Middle East.
