Escalating tensions between Iran and U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf

On June 2, 2026, Iran launched a series of missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). Kuwaiti air defenses reported multiple interceptions, and sirens were activated across the country. CENTCOM stated that two missiles aimed at Kuwait failed or were destroyed, while three aimed at Bahrain were intercepted alongside three drones targeting regional vessels.
