Dimitris Giannakopoulos demands championship title from Panathinaikos team

Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos visited the Telekom Center on Monday to address the team at the start of preparations for the Stoiximan GBL finals. He spoke critically to the players regarding their recent elimination from the Euroleague playoffs by Valencia. Giannakopoulos explicitly demanded that head coach Ergin Ataman and the players secure the Greek league championship title. The finals series against Olympiacos is set to begin on Wednesday, June 3, at 21:00 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF). A scheduled media day for both Panathinaikos and Olympiacos will take place on Tuesday. These matches will determine the winner of the domestic basketball championship.
