Stolen corporate motorcycle found burning in Nicosia district

At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, a fire broke out in a motorcycle located in an open area in the Nicosia district. Members of the Fire Service arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. Subsequent investigations revealed that the fire was set maliciously using an accelerant. Further checks identified that the vehicle belonged to a company and had been reported as stolen to the police on May 22, 2026. The Morphou Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has taken over the case and is continuing the inquiry. Authorities are currently searching for the perpetrators responsible for the act. No suspects have been apprehended at this time.
