Emergency landings at Cypriot airports
Three emergency landings occurred at Cypriot airports between August 29 and September 3, 2024. On August 29, a TUS Airways flight from Tel Aviv to Heraklion landed in Larnaca after a potential fuel leak was detected, carrying 100 passengers who remained unharmed. On August 30, a French military aircraft flying from Jordan landed in Paphos due to engine trouble. On September 3, a private jet traveling from the United Kingdom to Larnaca diverted to Paphos following a minor technical malfunction. In all three cases, airport authorities initiated emergency protocols as a precaution. Despite the emergency status, all landings were completed successfully without incident. Hermes Airports and the involved carriers have provided limited details regarding the mechanical status of the aircraft. No injuries were reported across any of the incidents.
