Cyprus unemployment rate drops to 3.2 percent in April 2026
Eurostat data indicates that the unemployment rate in Cyprus decreased slightly to 3.2 percent in April 2026, down from 3.3 percent in March. Data regarding youth unemployment for those under 25 was unavailable for April, with the most recent figure recorded at 12.7 percent in January 2026. Across the European Union, the unemployment rate remained stable at 6.0 percent. The eurozone unemployment rate also remained unchanged at 6.3 percent. Eurostat estimates that 13.238 million people were unemployed across the EU in April, including 11.075 million within the eurozone. These figures for the EU and the eurozone represent consistency with data from March 2026 and April 2025.
