British couple honored after 50 visits to Ayia Napa

On Friday, the Municipality of Ayia Napa honored British tourists Paul and Marilyn Duff for completing 50 holiday visits to the area. A ceremony was held at the Ayia Napa Municipal Building to mark the occasion. During the event, Deputy Mayor Antonis Christou represented Mayor Christos Zannetou in presenting the couple with a commemorative plaque. The couple was officially awarded the title of 'Tourism Ambassador' in recognition of their long-term loyalty. Municipal officials stated that this milestone highlights the town's enduring appeal to international travelers. The municipality noted that such repeated visits are essential for sustaining the local tourism sector. This event reaffirms Ayia Napa's status as a primary destination for British visitors within Cyprus.
