Health authorities in the occupied areas implement measures against Ebola
The infectious diseases committee of the health department in the occupied areas has announced new measures in response to the global Ebola outbreak. Diagnostic samples collected from potential cases will be sent to the National Public Health Reference Laboratory of the Turkish Ministry of Health for analysis. The pharmaceutical department has been instructed to initiate procurement of medications used in the treatment of the virus. Officials described the Ebola virus as a rare but life-threatening infectious disease transmitted through infected animal or human bodily fluids. The committee stated it will continue to monitor updates and decisions from international health organizations. Further actions will be taken if the situation requires additional preventative measures.
