Greek film adaptation of A Christmas Carol receives six Iris Award nominations

In May 2026, the film adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol', titled 'Ta Kalanta ton Christougennon', received six nominations for the Hellenic Film Academy's Iris Awards. The nominations highlight the production's technical achievements in sound, cinematography, set design, costumes, makeup, and visual effects. The project was produced by Tasos Papanastasiou of Main Character Entertainment and Marinos Charalambous of Avaton Films. Christos Kanakis directed the film, while Loris Loizidis wrote the screenplay and starred in the lead role.
