Israel records over 16 billion euros in defense exports for 2025
In 2025, Israeli defense exports reached a record high, exceeding 19 billion dollars, or approximately 16.5 billion euros. According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, this figure represents a nearly 30% increase compared to 2024. Air defense systems, rockets, and missiles accounted for 29% of the signed contracts. European nations were the primary purchasers, receiving 36% of exports, followed by the Asia-Pacific region at 32% and the Middle East and North Africa at 15%. Over half of the hundreds of contracts signed were valued at 100 million dollars or more. The Ministry attributes this growth to international demand for technology used in current conflicts following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that these figures reflect the success of the Israel Defense Forces and the capabilities of the domestic defense industry. While one source cited 16 billion euros, the official ministry data specifies the total at over 16.5 billion euros.
