AEK Larnaca signs Bosnian goalkeeper Vedad Muftic

AEK Larnaca FC has officially announced the signing of Bosnian goalkeeper Vedad Muftic on a two-year contract. The 24-year-old player joins the Cypriot club from FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo, where he made 131 appearances for the first team following his development in the club's youth academy. Prior to finalizing the agreement, the goalkeeper successfully underwent medical examinations. While some early reports indicated an initial agreement between the parties, the final signing was confirmed on June 4, 2026. Muftic is expected to arrive in Cyprus before the start of the team's preseason training. In his previous season, he recorded 39 appearances across all competitions, maintaining 15 clean sheets and conceding 39 goals. There were previous media reports linking the player to interest from Galatasaray and various Polish clubs, though no such deals materialized.
