Pafos FC prepares squad updates and contract negotiations
Pafos FC is currently focusing on key roster updates ahead of the new season. The club has offered a four-year contract extension to 30-year-old Dutch-Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen, who is currently competing with the Ghana national team at the World Cup. Simultaneously, Pafos FC is in advanced negotiations to sign 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder Guga, formerly of Al Najma and Benfica's academy. The club is also working to finalize the stay of 20-year-old midfielder Alexandre Brito, who played on loan last season. Regarding domestic additions, Pafos FC has initiated contact to acquire 22-year-old Ethnikos Achnas defender Nikolas Angelopoulos, though negotiations are ongoing due to the selling club's financial requirements exceeding the initial 100,000 euro offer. Additionally, the club confirmed the continuity of head coach Ricardo Sa Pinto's technical staff, including the addition of Ricardo Zanota as goalkeeping coach. Rumors also link the club to a potential return of Cyprus international Marinos Tzionis.
