Louis Demetriou confirmed as the next president of the Cyprus Basketball Federation

Louis Demetriou has been confirmed as the sole candidate for the presidency of the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK) after the submission deadline passed. His election will be formally ratified at the General Electoral Assembly scheduled for June 24, 2026. He is set to officially assume his duties on June 25, 2026. Demetriou received support from the AEL Limassol and Enosis Neon Paralimni clubs for his candidacy. This appointment marks his return to the leadership position of the organization. Upon his selection, he outlined a future agenda that includes addressing stadium infrastructure issues and considering the admission of visiting fans to basketball matches.
