Lifeguards rescue 20-year-old swimmer in Limassol
On Monday, during the Kataklysmos holiday, a 20-year-old swimmer was rescued after experiencing difficulty in the water at Malindi beach in Limassol. The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. near the LEM 4 lifeguard station. Lifeguards on duty intervened immediately, pulling the man from the sea and providing first aid. They administered oxygen, which helped stabilize his condition. Staff from the neighboring LEM 3 station also assisted in the operation. Following the rescue, the individual was transported by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital for precautionary medical examinations. Doctors have since reported that his health is good and there is no cause for concern.
