Omonia Aradippou appoints Giannis Okkas as head coach and Laurent Dessol as technical director
Omonia Aradippou has officially appointed Giannis Okkas as its new head coach, succeeding Marinos Satsias. The 48-year-old manager was chosen for his experience and knowledge of the Cypriot league, particularly the second group and play-out stages, following his work at Akritas. Additionally, the club has hired Laurent Dessol as the new technical director, replacing Valentinos Sielis. Dessol, formerly a scout for Omonia and technical director for Pafos FC, is expected in Cyprus soon to finalize his duties. The club aims to maintain its current competitive strategy by focusing on young Cypriot players. Financial plans for the upcoming season indicate a budget similar to or slightly lower than the previous year. New contracts have already been signed by Pontikos, Antoniou, Van Meulem, and Lomonaco. General manager Giorgos Herakleous stated that the club remains committed to its existing development plan to avoid relegation risks.
