Cultural events and exhibitions across Cyprus
Cyprus hosts a wide variety of cultural activities this summer, including theater premieres, film screenings, and music performances. The Thoc summer production of Euripides' Ion premieres at the School for the Blind amphitheater in Nicosia, while Fotis Georgides tours his social satire Antikristo across multiple cities. Lena Kitsopoulou's new play The Harmful Effects of Tobacco is currently at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre Studio. The 27th Summer Screenings Marathon in Nicosia runs through September 13, opening with the documentary Memory of a Sweet Homeland. Additional performances include the one-woman show Flat Shoes at the Satirical Theatre and the concert Zournas and Ntaouli of Cyprus at the Axiothea Mansion. Numerous art exhibitions are currently open in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, and Platres, showcasing contemporary works until late summer. Key venues include NiMAC, the Leventis Gallery, and Pylon Art & Culture.
