Police investigate shooting at office building in Zakaki, Limassol

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at approximately 4:20 am, two individuals on a motorcycle fired around 20 shots at an office building located on Franklin Roosevelt Avenue in the Zakaki area of Limassol. The gunfire damaged the glass surfaces of a balcony on the first or second floor of the building, which houses a company reportedly involved in forex trading, IT, or back-office services. Employees discovered the damage upon arriving at work at 8:00 am and immediately notified the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Forensic experts were unable to locate shell casings at the scene, leading authorities to believe the perpetrators collected them. Police are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the suspects. Information surfaced during the investigation suggesting the same company, owned by foreign nationals, may have been targeted two weeks prior, though that incident was allegedly never reported to the police. The investigation remains in its early stages, and officials have stated that no direct connection to previous similar attacks on other companies has been established yet.
