Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center opens new cyclotron unit for PET/CT diagnostic services
The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center has officially inaugurated a new cyclotron unit to enhance its diagnostic capabilities. This facility produces the essential radiopharmaceuticals required for PET/CT imaging, which combines positron emission tomography with computed tomography. The integration of this technology allows for more precise metabolic and anatomical evaluations of patients. A consecration ceremony for the new building housing the cyclotron took place on June 2. The event was attended by the center's Board of Trustees, the General Director, medical staff, and representatives from patient associations. This development is expected to improve the speed and quality of diagnostic services offered at the center. By producing the necessary substances in-house, the facility aims to streamline cancer treatment diagnostic processes.
