New traffic regulations and construction in Nicosia

Starting June 4, 2026, the Nicosia Municipality is implementing a new phase of the inner moat perimeter arc redevelopment project, causing several road closures until December 2026. Construction segment A3, from the OXI roundabout to the Costanza bastion parking area, will be closed, and the parking facility itself will remain shut until mid-December 2026. Additionally, the exit lane from Thermopylon Street to the OXI roundabout (segment A2) will remain closed until late July 2026. The eastern part of Konstantinou Palaiologou Avenue (segment A4) is closed to all except residents and emergency vehicles. Furthermore, from June 6, 2026, a portion of Dimonikou Street in the Agioi Omologites parish will become a one-way street toward Persefonis Papadopoulou Street, with parking restrictions applied during the installation of signage between 06:00 and 16:00. Residents are advised to follow designated detour routes, including Stasinou Avenue and Eleftherias Square, to navigate the city center.
