Omonia FC planning and budget update for the upcoming season

Omonia Nicosia, following its 22nd league title victory, is currently focusing on squad planning for the upcoming season with the aim of qualifying for the Champions League phase. President Stavros Papastavrou confirmed in a recent interview that the team budget will increase to support the acquisition of quality reinforcements. Contract renewals are ongoing, with particular attention on Willy Semedo, who has received an offer but has yet to respond, and Alpha Dionkou, who is in discussions with the club. Ryan Mmaee, whose contract expires in May 2027, remains a priority for extension talks. Additionally, the club successfully extended the contract of a key player until 2029 despite an injury, with his return estimated around December 2026.
