Greek actor Angelos Antonopoulos has passed away at the age of 94. His funeral took place on Wednesday, June 3, at the Karystos Cemetery, in accordance with his wish for the news of his death to be withheld until after the burial. Antonopoulos was born in Olympia and studied at the Karolos Koun Art Theatre Drama School. During his long career, he performed in numerous theatrical plays, including works by Shakespeare, Brecht, and Chekhov. He appeared in over 30 films, collaborating with prominent directors such as Takis Kanellopoulos and Vasilis Georgiadis. He also maintained a notable television career, which began in 1971.
