Platania camping site closes for scheduled upgrades

The Department of Forests under the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment has officially closed the Platania camping site. This measure was implemented on June 3, 2026, to facilitate planned site upgrades. Owners of caravans and other temporary accommodations are required to remove their property and transfer it to private locations. The site's entrance and emergency gates are currently locked to the public. These access points will only be opened for the purpose of removing equipment. Individuals must notify the Platania Forestry Station before arriving to retrieve their belongings. The Department of Forests has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and requested public cooperation during this period.
