Phase A1 of the Creative Business District renovation in Nicosia inaugurated

The first phase (A1) of the Creative Business District renovation in Nicosia has been officially inaugurated by the Minister of the Interior. The project involved the comprehensive redevelopment of Trikoupi Street, spanning from the OXI roundabout to south of its junction with Lefkonos Street, including segments of adjacent roads. Work included the upgrade of public and private roads, the undergrounding of utility services, and the restoration of building facades. The primary goal is to establish Trikoupi Street as a main artery connecting the business district to the city center to attract new creative activities. The project, which began in January 2023, was originally scheduled for completion in May 2024 but was finalized in April 2025. The total eligible budget for the project was 5,072,000 euros. It was implemented under the Cohesion Policy Program 'THALEIA 2021-2027' with co-financing from the European Union. Key improvements include enhanced urban infrastructure, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and the creation of public spaces for residents and visitors.
