Pafos FC reshapes squad and evaluates coach status after cup victory
Following their victory in the 2025-2026 Cyprus Cup on May 29, Pafos FC has initiated a restructuring phase. The club is currently in final negotiations to retain coach Ricardo Sa Pinto, who has directed the team through six matches with three wins. Several players have already departed the club, including Neofytos Michael, Wilmer Odefalk, Ognjen Mimovic, Dani Silva, Athanasios Papadoudis, and Kostas Pileas. Charalampos Kyriakidis has been signed as a new goalkeeper to bolster the squad. The team is also evaluating the future of Brazilian forward Lele, who is on loan from Fluminense, with options to extend his loan for 200,000 euros or purchase him for one million. Additionally, Pafos FC has secured a five-year broadcasting agreement with Cytavision for all home matches. Club spokesperson Christoforos Matthaiou stated that while the coaching decision is pending, the team is actively working on finalizing its roster for the upcoming season.
