Pafos FC targets Afimico Pululu amidst international interest
Pafos FC is currently competing for the signing of 27-year-old Congolese striker Afimico Pululu, who has become a free agent after leaving the Polish club Jagiellonia. Pululu, who scored 21 goals in 47 appearances during the 2024-2025 season and was the top scorer of the Conference League, is reportedly evaluating eight to nine offers from various countries including Cyprus, Turkey, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and clubs in the MLS. Pafos FC management, led by coach Sa Pinto and sporting director Cristiano Giaretta, views the player as a high-quality addition to strengthen the squad for upcoming European and domestic commitments. The club hopes that its participation in European competitions will serve as a decisive factor in securing the striker's signature. In other transfer developments, the club is also looking to bolster its roster with local talent, showing interest in players like Nikolas Angelopoulos and Marinos Tzionis. Additionally, Alexandre Brito is confirmed to stay with the club following a request from Sa Pinto. Reports indicate the club is eager to avoid the transfer planning mistakes made in the previous summer season.
