Ibero-American Film Festival returns to Nicosia
The fourth Ibero-American Film Festival will take place in Nicosia from June 5 to July 2 at the Pantheon Cinema. The event is organized by the embassies of Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain, in cooperation with the Instituto Cervantes in Nicosia and the Friends of Cinema Society. The program features five acclaimed films: Mexico's "El Rey de todo el mundo" on June 5, Spain's "La Isla Mínima" on June 9, Portugal's "A Memória do Cheiro das Coisas" on June 16, Brazil's "Manas" on June 19, and Cuba's "Una noche con los Rolling Stones" on July 2. The opening screening on June 5 begins at 20:00, while all subsequent screenings start at 20:30. Admission to all films is free for the public. All movies will be presented in their original language with English subtitles. This event aims to showcase the diversity of contemporary cinema from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries.
