Cypriot Finance Minister meets European Investment Bank vice-president

On Thursday in Nicosia, Cypriot Finance Minister Makis Keravnos met with Marek Mora, vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB). This was Mora's first official visit to Cyprus, occurring while he attended the informal meeting of ministers responsible for cohesion policy. Mora, a former deputy finance minister of Czechia, assumed his position in October 2025, succeeding Kyriacos Kakouris. He is responsible for representing Cyprus and five other EU member states on the EIB's management committee. During the meeting, officials reviewed existing financing programs and the progress of current development projects on the island. Furthermore, they discussed future investment priorities and the strategic portfolio of the EIB within the Republic of Cyprus. Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing nature of their cooperation.
