Wizz Air increases capacity and resumes Athens route from Larnaca
Wizz Air has announced an expansion of its flight schedule from Larnaca airport, adding 57,500 seats for August and September 2026. This increase comprises 24,500 additional seats in August and 33,000 in September to meet higher passenger demand. A key development is the early resumption of the Larnaca to Athens route, starting on August 13 with ten flights per week, which will increase to fourteen weekly flights from September 23. Furthermore, the airline is increasing flight frequencies to several international destinations. Flights to Barcelona will rise to four per week from September 1, and the Bucharest route will expand to seven flights per week. Service to Tel Aviv will increase from seven to eleven flights weekly starting August 13. Additional flight frequencies are also being implemented for routes to Kutaisi, Georgia, and Iasi, Romania.
