Kazakhstan-Cyprus business forum held in Astana

The Kazakhstan-Cyprus business forum took place in Astana during the first official visit of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides to Kazakhstan. The event was attended by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, President Christodoulides, and over 70 representatives from the business communities of both nations. Key areas for potential cooperation were identified as trade, logistics, agriculture, information technology, artificial intelligence, fintech, and renewable energy. Freedom Holding Corp. served as the strategic partner for the event, with its CEO Timur Turlov moderating the plenary session as the only private-sector representative to speak alongside government officials. Institutional backing was provided by Kazakh Invest and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Participants focused on long-term investment opportunities, financial services, food security, healthcare, and structured investment projects. The meeting aims to strengthen the economic dialogue and institutional cooperation between the two countries.
