Changes in the Cyprus national men's basketball team coaching staff

The Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK) has announced the departure of head coach Christoforos Livadiotis after five years in the position. Livadiotis took charge of the team in 2020 and led the country to its first-ever participation in FIBA EuroBasket 2025, which was co-hosted by Cyprus. During his tenure, he also oversaw the national team's debut in the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers. Following his departure, Antonis Konstantinidis, who currently coaches the U20 national team, has been appointed as the interim coach for the men's senior team. While the federation has confirmed this interim appointment, local media reports suggest that discussions regarding a permanent replacement are ongoing. The federation expressed gratitude to Livadiotis for his dedication and contributions to the sport. The search for a long-term successor is now the primary focus for the basketball federation.
