Ministry of Education initiates public consultation for 2026 special education legislation

The Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Cyprus has launched a public consultation process concerning the proposed 'Education and Training of Children with Disabilities or/and Special Educational Needs (Amending) Law of 2026'. Alongside the primary bill, the ministry has also released the corresponding regulations for public review. Interested stakeholders, organizations, and individuals are invited to submit their feedback, comments, or suggestions. Submissions must be made through the official 'e-Consultation' online platform at www.e-consultation.gov.cy. The deadline for participating in this consultation is Saturday, July 4, 2026. The ministry intends to evaluate the received feedback to finalize the legislative documents before moving forward with the amendment process.
