Survivor reality show cancelled after contestant injury in the Dominican Republic

The Survivor reality show has been prematurely cancelled following a severe accident involving 22-year-old contestant Stavros Floros. While spear fishing in the waters of the Dominican Republic, Floros was struck by a passing speedboat, resulting in the amputation of his left leg and serious injury to his right leg. Following the incident, the show's production team decided to terminate the season. Presenter Giorgos Lianos returned to Greece on Thursday, June 4, and addressed the media regarding the event. Lianos expressed support for Floros and his family, noting that the production team is providing assistance during his recovery. The contestant is currently receiving medical treatment and undergoing rehabilitation in Miami.
