Loizos Loizou joins Red Star Belgrade

Cypriot winger Loizos Loizou, aged 22, has officially transferred from Hapoel Tel Aviv to the Serbian champion Red Star Belgrade. The deal, announced on June 10, 2026, involves a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros. The player signed a contract for three years with an option for an additional year, choosing jersey number 75. Previous club Omonia Nicosia will receive approximately 500,000 euros, representing a 20% share of the profit from the future sale of the player. Loizou passed his medical examinations in Belgrade before the formal signing. In his public statements, the player expressed his ambition to compete at the highest level and his desire to contribute through dribbling, goals, and assists. Serbian media reports suggest his annual salary exceeds 750,000 euros.
