Former spouse of murdered Polish professor dies by suicide in prison

A 43-year-old woman, accused of being the instigator in the murder of her former husband, 43-year-old Polish professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski, died by suicide at Korydallos women's prison. The incident occurred in July 2025 following the murder of the professor in Agia Paraskevi, Greece. According to reports, the woman used bedsheets to take her own life in the bathroom of her prison cell. Before her death, she left a note for her two children expressing her love and asking for forgiveness. The Athens Council of Misdemeanors had recently issued an indictment against her for moral complicity in the murder. Four other individuals were arrested in connection with the case, including a 35-year-old man identified as the alleged perpetrator, with whom the woman was reportedly in a relationship. The suspect had been in custody for 11 months pending trial.
