Omonia and Apollon announce 2026-2027 season preparations and squad updates
Cypriot clubs Omonia and Apollon have officially begun preparations for the 2026-2027 season. Omonia, managed by Henning Berg, has signed Andronikos Kakoullis and Jaynder Montnor to strengthen its attack following the departure of Willy Semedo. The team held medical exams on June 19-20 and will train in Kyperounta from June 22 to 26 before moving to Poland for a main camp until July 10. Omonia is scheduled to face the winner of the Kairat Almaty and Sutjeska Niksic match in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. Meanwhile, Apollon begins its season on June 22 with medical checks, followed by a training camp in Enschede, Netherlands, from July 2 to 13. Apollon will compete in the second qualifying round of the Conference League on July 23, awaiting the winner of the Dila Gori and Virtus tie. To prepare, Apollon has scheduled a final friendly match against AEK Larnaca on July 16.
