Omonoia nears signing of Loic Nego
Loic Nego, the 35-year-old Hungarian international defender, has officially departed from Le Havre after three seasons. Following his announcement on social media, he traveled to Cyprus to finalize his move to Omonoia. Reports indicate that Nego has already undergone medical examinations, and his official unveiling is expected in the coming days. The player has a prior professional relationship with Omonoia manager Henning Berg, with whom he worked at Videoton during the 2016-17 season. Omonoia is currently conducting its pre-season preparation in Poland, having recently played a friendly against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The club is also actively looking to conclude the signing of a new striker to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming European qualifiers. Omonoia is scheduled to play a friendly against Korona Kielce in Poland before returning to Cyprus to face Panetolikos on July 16.
