Ryan Mmaee set to leave Omonia following transfer agreement
Omonia Nicosia has signed a pre-agreement to sell 28-year-old forward Ryan Mmaee to an undisclosed foreign club. Reports suggest the destination is in America or potentially Mexico, with the transfer fee estimated at approximately 3,000,000 euros. This move would represent a record-breaking sale for the Cypriot club, surpassing the 1.5 million euro transfer of Moussa Mgouni from 2008. Mmaee did not join the team's training camp in Poland, which began on June 29, 2026, to finalize the transfer process. Additionally, midfielder Mateusz Musialowski has been excluded from the Omonia squad traveling to Poland as he is no longer considered part of the team's plans under manager Henning Berg. The club now faces the challenge of replacing two key offensive players, as Mmaee follows the departure of Willy Semedo. Mmaee, who was under contract until 2027, provided significant goal-scoring contributions during the team's championship-winning season. The coaching staff is now prioritizing the reinforcement of the attack before the upcoming Champions League qualifiers.
