Willy Semedo leaves Omonia as Jayden Montnor is expected to join
Willy Semedo has officially decided not to renew his contract with Omonia Nicosia after three years at the club. Despite a competitive financial offer from the Cypriot champions, the 32-year-old winger chose to pursue a new path, with reports indicating he may move to a club in China or the United Arab Emirates. Following his decision, Omonia is finalizing the acquisition of 23-year-old Surinamese forward Jayden Montnor, who has announced his departure from Aris Limassol. Montnor expressed his gratitude to Aris on social media, paving the way for his imminent transfer to Omonia. The club’s management and manager Henning Berg are prioritizing this move to address the vacancy left by Semedo. Omonia intends to further strengthen its attacking line to boost its prospects for the Champions League campaign. Furthermore, the club continues to evaluate other reinforcements, including potential interest in Pere Pons, while maintaining existing contractual discussions with Diounkou.
